plain white paper

Plain white paper is how everything begins for me. An unmade list (shopping, to-do, etc.) starts out as an empty piece of paper and ends up full of notes, check, strikes, postponements, phone messages, 2 year old artwork...Plain White Paper can be how your day starts out, where anything can be accomplished and sometimes is or other times, nothing much is done (which can feel like a complete waste of a day) and you feel like you had so much potential but didn't use it to the full. That can be depressing, don't dwell on it too much, just be glad that there is another day coming and it too is plain white so, you get another chance. It's nice at the end of the day to look back and feel like your page is full and you can turn another one and start all over again filling it up with great things, sometimes not-so-great things, but all part of the many pages that make up our book of days lived.
Plain white paper is also the name of my little card business. I love making cards and each one starts out as a fresh canvas for my creativity. Every card I make is a true labour of love and I feel a twinge of sadness every time they go to a new home that is not mine. I hope though, that each card I make brings as much satisfaction and simple enjoyment to it's new owner as it does to me.
