So, once you stop hating your parents and think they're ruining your life, you start to realize 'Hey, my parents are actually kinda cool.' Then, later, it hits: That inevitable moment when it suddenly dawns on you that your parents were not only awesome, but probably cooler than you.

mom-blog...maybe

I want to be a blogger....a true mom-blogger. I read blogs like: c jane, nienie dialogues, pleated poppy, whatever......They are great and sometimes (only sometimes) the highlight of my day. They are so witty and creative and interesting. I think I am or can be all those things too but maybe the problem is I just don't have the time yet to really do a great blog. I do have a pretty new bebe! I think I may start by just doing one small thing every day, just to keep it interesting....Yes, yes that is what I will do. Starting...soon!

A Cupcakey Kind of Day

It's raining today. Kind of gloomy and pretty gray. I decided to make cupcakes, with my 2 and a half year old. It went pretty well. She ate quite a bit of the icing and sprinkles but, I figure it's not so bad once in a while...all that refined sugar and red dye #2. I'm sure nap time will be a breeze today!
It was a great day for baking and for supper....homemade chicken soup and dumplings. I can't wait.

Bloggy Background...YAY!

My new blog background makes me so happy! I have been trying to figure out how to get one on there forever! I was doing the simplest thing wrong so I finally got a clue and felt like, duh, it's so easy, especially using "the cutest blog on the block"! I think I'll keep this one for a while since I really love it and it reminds me of Spring and funky fabric.
